A2 size: dimensions and most common uses

The dimensions of size A2 are as follows: 420 x 594 mm or 42 x 59.4 cm. Compared to other formats, A2 is: double A3, four times A4, eight times A5 and half A1. Like the other most common formats, A2 is regulated by international paper size standard ISO 216, based on German standard DIN 476.

An A2 sheet has the following dimensions in inches/pixels:

  • Inches: 16.5 x 23.4
  • Pixel 72 DPI: 1,191 x 1,684
  • Pixel 150 DPI: 2,480 x 3,509
  • Pixel 300 DPI: 4,960 x 7,016
  • Pixel 600 DPI: 9,933 x 14,043.

    • Remember that with pixels, the dimensions depend on the resolution. The higher the resolution, the higher the number of pixels.
