Durable and waterproof plastic labels

You can create the perfect plastic labels for your business, choosing from the following options:

  1. Size: you can unleash your creativity and customise the size and shape to get an original label. There are also pre-defined shapes to choose from, including circular, square, oval and rectangular formats, as well as square and rectangular labels with rounded corners. The size range is also very broad, allowing you to create labels measuring between a minimum of 1x1 cm and a maximum of 30x30 cm.
  2. Material: there are several materials available for plastic label printing, including White Polypropylene, Transparent Polypropylene, Metallic Holographic Polypropylene, Silver Polypropylene and Refix Electrostatic. Laminated labels are scratch- and UV-resistant and can also be enhanced with special finishes.
  3. Coatings and lamination: protect your labels with anti-scratch varnish, matt lamination, gloss lamination or Soft Touch lamination, depending on the look and level of protection required.
  4. Output direction: there are four options available: 0°, 90°, 180° or -90°.
  5. Distance between the labels: each label must be at least 0.4 cm from the others.
  6. Inside diameter of the reel: 76 mm.
  7. Number of rolls: there are four options to choose from. You can use one roll 33 cm high, two rolls 16.5 cm high, three rolls 11 cm high or six rolls 5.5 cm high.
  8. Label cutting method: Kiss Cut with backing left on.
  9. Finish: Labellife 3 scratch-resistant varnish.
  10. Mirrored printing: ideal for labels applied indoors on glass surfaces so that they are visible from the outside. This option is available for transparent materials.
  11. UV Invisible Ink: invisible to the naked eye and visible only under UV light, where it appears in a bright fluorescent yellow. It is ideal for security elements such as codes or serial numbers, or for creating striking graphic effects on labels for wine, food and beverage, and cosmetics. Avoid dark backgrounds and do not cover the invisible ink with laminations or other finishes. Production time: 120 hours.

Special finishes for plastic labels

There are various finishes and special finishes that can be applied to your plastic labels, which vary depending on the material that you select. The special finishes include:

  • Selective varnish: an extra-thick, transparent coating that is applied to certain areas to make them stand out, creating an embossed feel
  • Gold or silver foil: gold or silver foil is hot stamped onto selected areas to enhance them

You can print plastic labels and add extra finishes for protection:

  • Labellife 3 anti-scratch varnish: a gloss coating that protects the plastic labels from scratches and UV light
  • Matt or gloss lamination: choose a matt or gloss coating to protect the labels and keep the colours bright
  • Soft Touch lamination: a transparent protective film with a smooth, soft-touch finish for a more refined result

Depending on the chosen material, you can also enhance your project with premium effects such as holographic finishes, mirrored printing for transparent labels, or other embellishments designed to make the graphics stand out.

Laminated polypropylene labels

Laminated labels can be printed on polypropylene with acrylic adhesive, or on Refix electrostatic material. Polypropylene adhesive labels are available in a range of base colours and finishes to suit different products and applications:

  • White Polypropylene: glossy white with high opacity.
  • Transparent Polypropylene: glossy transparent, also available with reverse printing for indoor applications.
  • Metallic Holographic Polypropylene: with a mirrored finish and holographic effect, creating a distinctive rainbow appearance.
  • Silver Deluxe Polypropylene: metallic silver with acrylic adhesive and high opacity.
  • Refix Electrostatic Labels: they adhere to smooth surfaces without the use of glue. They can be repositioned and leave no adhesive residue when removed.

These materials offer an excellent balance of durability, print quality and visual impact, making them suitable for everything from bottles and jars to promotional packaging and retail applications.

Why choose plastic labels

Why choose a plastic adhesive label? Plastic labels offer a range of important benefits:

  • Durability: they are scratch- and UV-resistant, withstand liquid spills and can be applied to bottles and packaging.
  • Versatility: plastic adhesive labels can be applied to a variety of flat and curved surfaces, from treated wood to plastic, from aluminium to glass.
  • Value for money: you can order the quantity of plastic labels you need at competitive prices with fast delivery.

How to order your plastic labels

Ordering your new plastic labels from Pixartprinting is simple. Download the Template and Instructions from the page to ensure your file is set up correctly, or use our design services to create new artwork. Submit your order and upload your file to complete your purchase. You’ll then receive your new plastic labels directly at your office or home with punctual delivery.

Below are some important instructions for correct print file creation:

  • Colour: all files must be sent in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) with the Fogra 39 colour profile assigned.
  • Resolution: the optimum resolution for print files is 300 ppi.
  • PDF: send your file in PDF format.
  • Margins and bleed: download the template for the product you've purchased; the bleed will already be correctly set at 2 mm from the cut.
  • Additional information: vector paths must be at least 0.25 pt. If you plan to apply special finishes to the path, it must be at least 1 pt.
  • Special finishes: special finishes must be vector-based, set to overprint, positioned on a dedicated Finishing layer, and assigned the Finishing spot colour swatch (0,50,100,0).

In the case of a custom format and die-cut, you must provide a file with two separate layers: one for the artwork and one for the cut line. We recommend consulting the detailed instructions available on the product page.

When using a transparent material, we always recommend selecting the selective white option to ensure optimum print quality. When using selective white, you must provide a file with two layers: one for the artwork and one to indicate the areas where white should be applied.
