High-quality acrylic printing
Plexiglass is a shatter-proof material often used as an alternative to glass due to its extreme toughness and lightness. It is available either clear or opal: both are perfectly suited for printing fittings and furnishings, as well as information panels for shops or trade fair stands. The transparency of Plexiglass and the unique way it diffuses light make this material ideal for unconventional and striking installations.
Customised acrylic printing tailored to your tastes
Printing on acrylic is an effective and elegant way to decorate your home or workspace with artwork or graphics. The transparency of printed acrylic sheets brings the colours out and achieves excellent depth, enhancing images and making for impactful communications. Not only is the material resistant and shatterproof, it is also lightweight and easy to mount. Acrylic printing is often used for information panels, furnishings and plaques.
Not everyone knows that Plexiglass is an extremely suitable material for printing. It offers excellent colour rendering and gives images a striking sense of depth, with an effect similar to glass while remaining more affordable, lightweight and shatterproof. Its transparency and its unique way of diffusing light make it ideal for visually impactful installations in shops, trade fair stands and exhibition spaces.
Which materials can you choose for acrylic printing?
With Pixartprinting’s acrylic printing service, there are two different materials available in two thicknesses (3 mm or 5 mm), both of which are shatterproof. The Clear Plexiglass is a clear polymethyl methacrylate panel, while the Opal Plexiglass is an opal polymethyl methacrylate panel that has an opaque design, making it suitable for backlighting.
Both finishes are available in 3 mm and 5 mm thicknesses, giving you the flexibility to choose the most suitable support for your project. Clear and opal Plexiglass are both ideal for informational panels, customised signs and decorative applications.
Acrylic printing sizes
Our printed acrylic sheets are available in over 10 standard sizes or you can choose your own custom format and enter your preferred dimensions. The smallest possible size is 14 cm x 14 cm, while the maximum width is 290 cm and the maximum height is 150 cm.
You can choose from preset formats including 50 x 70 cm, 70 x 50 cm, 70 x 100 cm, 100 x 70 cm, 100 x 140 cm, 140 x 100 cm, 50 x 50 cm, 70 x 70 cm, 100 x 100 cm, 110 x 110 cm and 140 x 140 cm, or create a tailored project with the custom format option.
For 3 mm transparent and opal Plexiglass, the maximum printable dimensions on a single panel are 190 x 290 cm. For 5 mm transparent and opal Plexiglass, the maximum printable dimensions on a single panel are 120 x 198 cm. Beyond these sizes, the panel will be divided into multiple parts. The paneling will maintain equal proportions, but the final subdivision is defined during the production phase. Supported printing dimensions range from 14 x 14 cm up to a maximum of 100,000 x 100,000 cm.
Acrylic printing options and accessories
Your options for printing on acrylic depend on the type of Plexiglass you choose. Solid or selective white printing is available with the clear Plexiglass, to bring out the images and enhance the artwork, while a scratch-resistant varnish can be applied to the opal Plexiglass if desired but white printing is not available. With both materials, you can choose a standard rectangular shape or select your own custom shape for a more unique printed acrylic sheet. 10 mm holes can also be added to the perimeter of the print to make it easier to install.
With clear Plexiglass, you can choose between solid white or selective white printing. Unlike solid white, selective white is applied only to the specific areas defined in your file, allowing certain transparent sections to remain visible for a more refined visual effect.
You can also choose between a square cut and a custom shape cut, with the latter following a precise path provided directly in your print file. The choice of holes or accessories must take the panel size into account, as not all sizes are compatible with every option; this is verified during the quote phase.

- Select the right thickness: Both 3 mm and 5 mm options are available. They are sturdy, lightweight, and shatterproof.

What can you create with acrylic printing?
Plexiglass printing is suitable for a wide range of uses. Thanks to its resistance outdoors, Plexiglass panels can be used as shop signs, directional signs and informational panels. They can last up to three years outdoors without the print being affected by weather conditions such as rain or sunlight. Indoors, they are an original decorative support for furnishing shops, personalising walls and enhancing exhibition spaces.
Plexiglass posters are also a popular option. You can print a favourite photograph, a landscape, or a graphic image to create a visually striking panel. Available from a single copy, these prints also make excellent personalised gifts.
Decorative acrylic prints are frequently used to transform interiors in a modern and cost-effective way. Just a few large-format prints can completely refresh a plain wall and add character to a retail space, office or home interior.
